Cardiothoracic Surgery

Dr. Zias received his medical degree from New York Medical College and then completed his internship at the Westchester Medical Center. After serving as Chief Resident in General Surgery at Westchester Medical Center, he completed a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, and then a second fellowship in Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Zias hold board certification from the American Board of Surgery as well as the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Zias is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He has held numerous academic appointments at such prestigious institutions as Northwestern University, the Children’s Memorial Hospital, and New York Medical College. He continues to perform medical research, lecture to his colleagues and is often featured in the press.

A recognized expert in the field of cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. Zias has perfected the latest technology of minimally invasive procedures which translates to greater precision during surgery, less stress on the patient, and faster healing times.
